Use your device’s built-in screen recorder. When recording stops, open ScreenGIF and choose the resulting video.
Drag the crop edges to keep the useful area. Move the time handles to choose the exact moment without changing its speed.
Shorten the selected time first, then reduce dimensions or frame rate. These usually matter more than any other setting.
On iPhone and iPad, Save adds the GIF to Photos. On Mac, Save opens a standard file dialog. Share uses the system share sheet.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Confirm that the recording has finished saving, then reopen the picker. On iPhone or iPad, allow ScreenGIF to access the selected video or your photo library when the system asks.
Long, high-resolution recordings can require substantial memory. Select a shorter time range and use Smart resolution. Close other memory-heavy apps before trying again.
GIF size grows with duration, pixel dimensions, frame count, and visual complexity. Shortening the animation and reducing resolution usually has the strongest effect; reducing FPS is the next step.
This is expected to a degree. GIF has a limited color palette and represents motion as individual image frames. Gradients, shadows, and fast motion reveal those limits most clearly.
Open the ScreenGIF Pro page and choose Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID or Google account that completed the original purchase. A lifetime purchase does not need a subscription.
Removing an item from ScreenGIF’s recent-exports list does not necessarily remove a GIF you already saved elsewhere. Check Photos, Files, Finder, or the destination you selected.
Email Chang Studio with your device, operating-system version, ScreenGIF version, and the exact step where the issue appears. Do not attach a private recording unless it is necessary and you are comfortable sharing it.
