ScreenGIF has no account system, ads, or third-party analytics. Selected videos are processed locally. Chang Studio does not receive your recordings, GIFs, edit settings, or recent-export history.
1. Information ScreenGIF does not collect
Chang Studio does not collect personal information, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, contacts, photos, videos, GIF files, precise location, or diagnostic content through ScreenGIF.
2. Selected recordings and generated GIFs
When you choose a screen recording, ScreenGIF reads that file so it can preview, crop, trim, and create a GIF. This processing occurs on your device. The selected recording and generated image frames are not uploaded to Chang Studio.
You decide where an exported GIF is saved or shared. When you use the operating system’s share sheet, the app or service you choose receives the file under its own privacy policy.
3. Information stored on your device
ScreenGIF may store app preferences, onboarding state, haptic-feedback settings, language choice, purchase-entitlement state, and recent-export references on your device. Recent-export entries help you reopen a generated result; they are not project files stored on Chang Studio servers.
You can change history retention in ScreenGIF settings. Removing the app normally removes its local preferences, subject to operating-system backup and restore behavior.
4. Photo-library and file access
ScreenGIF requests access only when needed to let you select a recording or save a GIF. On supported platforms, the system may let you grant access only to selected media. You can review or revoke permission in system settings.
5. Purchases and App Store services
Optional purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, not by Chang Studio. Those stores may process account, payment, tax, purchase-history, and device information under their own policies. ScreenGIF receives only the purchase status needed to unlock or restore features.
If ScreenGIF asks whether you would like to rate the app, the rating interface is provided by the platform store. Chang Studio does not receive your store-account credentials.
6. Children’s privacy
ScreenGIF does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users. Because no account or analytics system is used, Chang Studio does not build user profiles.
7. Security and retention
Because ScreenGIF does not upload your media to Chang Studio, Chang Studio does not retain copies of your recordings or GIFs. You are responsible for protecting files stored on your device and in any destination you choose.
8. Changes to this policy
If ScreenGIF’s data practices change, this page will be updated before or when the relevant app version becomes available. The “Last updated” date identifies the current policy.
