Quick Start
Use PoiseCam across your Mac.
Allow camera access
Open PoiseCam and allow Camera access when macOS asks. Microphone access is needed only if you choose to record video with audio.
Enable Camera Extension
Open System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions. Scroll to Extensions, open Camera Extensions, and enable PoiseCam.
Select PoiseCam in another app
Turn on Global Beauty, then choose “PoiseCam” in any compatible app that lets you select a camera.
FAQ
Common questions
Why can’t PoiseCam access my camera?
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and allow PoiseCam. Quit and reopen PoiseCam after changing access. If the camera remains unavailable, close other apps that may be using the same camera and try again.
Why is PoiseCam missing from another app’s camera list?
Confirm that PoiseCam is enabled under System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions → Camera Extensions. Then quit and reopen the other app so it can refresh its camera list.
Does Global Beauty work in every app?
PoiseCam works with apps that support standard macOS camera selection. Availability is controlled by each app, so compatibility can change when that app is updated.
How does the free Global Beauty trial work?
Free users receive one cumulative three-minute Global Beauty output trial to check setup and compatibility. Pausing Global Beauty pauses the remaining time. PoiseCam Pro removes the trial limit.
How do I restore PoiseCam Pro?
Open PoiseCam Pro in the app and choose Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. Subscription management is available through your Apple Account.
Where are my photos and videos saved?
PoiseCam saves captures locally in the folder shown in Settings. It does not upload your camera image or saved captures to Chang Studio.
Why can another app show a mirrored image?
PoiseCam’s mirror setting controls its own preview and captures. Global output remains unmirrored so the receiving app can apply its own preview mirror without double-flipping the image.
Can PoiseCam keep Global Beauty running after I close its window?
Yes. Turn on “Continue Running After Window Closes” in Settings. PoiseCam will remain available from the menu bar while Global Beauty continues.
