1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how PoiseCam, provided by Chang Studio, handles information. PoiseCam does not require an account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking.
2. Camera and microphone access
PoiseCam requests camera permission to show, process, capture, and—when you enable Global Beauty—provide camera frames to its macOS Camera Extension. Processing takes place on your Mac. PoiseCam does not upload or transmit camera frames to Chang Studio.
Microphone permission is requested only if you choose video recording with audio. Audio is written to the local recording file and is not uploaded to Chang Studio.
3. Photos and videos
Photos and videos you create are saved locally in the folder selected in PoiseCam. Chang Studio does not receive, store, or review those files. You control their retention by managing files on your Mac.
4. Settings stored on your Mac
PoiseCam stores app preferences locally, such as the selected camera, beauty settings, output quality, mirror preference, language, save location, menu bar behavior, and Global Beauty state. Its App Group also stores the minimum local state needed for the host app and Camera Extension to share frames, settings, and verified Pro entitlement status.
5. Purchases
Optional purchases are processed by the Apple App Store using StoreKit. PoiseCam reads Apple-signed product and entitlement information to provide PoiseCam Pro and restore purchases. Chang Studio does not receive your payment card details or Apple Account password. Apple processes purchase information under Apple’s own privacy policy.
6. Data collection and sharing
PoiseCam does not collect personal data, camera or microphone content, saved captures, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, contacts, or precise location. Because Chang Studio does not collect this data, it does not sell or share it with third parties.
7. Retention and deletion
Chang Studio does not retain PoiseCam user data on its servers. You can remove locally stored captures yourself. You can remove app preferences by deleting PoiseCam and its local application data.
8. Changes to this policy
If PoiseCam’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect. The current effective date appears at the top of this page.
